Scott McGhee kicked off his professional career on the football field. His five-year tenure in the leagues (CFL/NFL/ USFL) led him to take his competitive expertise and mindset from the football field to the live entertainment arena. The college All-American (Eastern Illinois University) was inducted into the university hall of fame with alma mater notables Tony Romo, Jimmy Garoppolo, Sean Payton and Mike Shanahan. He launched his career in entertainment working alongside Motley Crue, The Scorpions and BonJovi early in their respective careers to become a frontrunner in developing innovative music career and tour strategies. He signed Skid Row to his first management deal; the relationship spanned over the course of more than six years. He signed Blues Traveler, Liz Phair, Tracy Bonham, Buckcherry and many more. McGhee was a founding member of the “Warped Tour” (the largest traveling music festival in the U.S. held annually from 1995 – 2018). His talents were tapped by Michael Ovitz, CAA (Creative Artists Agency) founder and former President of The Walt Disney Company, to lend assistance in forming AMG (Artist Management Group) that created music entertainment packaging for film and television placement (including “Gangs Of New York” and “Two And A Half Men”). A notable country music trendsetter, McGhee broke new ground in the country music format to guide the successful careers of Darius Rucker (Hootie & The Blowfish), Clay Walker and Chris Cagle. He launched 1˚ Entertainment Music & Management Group in 2018.
